A very interesting read, we don’t hear of many articles relating to this star. I read possibly because of her striking resemblance to the popular actress, Clara Bow.

Hello, Do you have any information on the goofy dolls Viola is cuddling in the picture? I’ve seen several other Hal Roach stars posing with the same toys, such as Charley Chase, Thelma Todd, and some Our Gang kids.It must have been some kind of paid endorsement.—-Cole Johnson.

Thank you for shedding light on this absolutely lovely lady. I am wondering if there were any children born to her? Any chance we will have an opportunity to hear her voice via that sound film? Any trace of it?

I am convinced she could have given Thelma Todd a run for her money had Hal Roach kept her on. What a delight a Richard/Todd series would have been!
