The Terrible Catsafterme

Brad’s Musings and Meanderings

random acts of quoting

"Don't touch me, I'm sterile." - Ed Norton, "The Honeymooners"

bap.jpgAs we inched our way into Summer, we partook in the first religious milestone in Ashleigh’s life on June 24, 1990. Ashleigh was dedicated at the Beavercreek Church of the Brethern, our family church since the early 1970’s. I recall standing at the front of the church and taking our vows to raise her as a Christian, but little else. I am assuming that both of our Dads were there as well, but the photos that Joy had only pictured our Moms and Christi’s little brother Eric. The service was conducted by our Pastor Steve Jones.

In one of thse bizarre ‘Lincoln-Kennedy’ coincidences, I was dedicated at the Bear Creek Church of the Brethren and baptized at the Beavercreek Church of the Brethern, while Ashleigh, on the other hand, was dedicated at Beavercreek and baptized at Bear Creek. Spooky.
