I would like to introduce you to The Piddling Greenies…or The Unwed Lumberjacks…or The Skinny Firemen…or most recently, Whoops! That’s a Crayon, Not a Laxative. These are just some of the names we’ve come up with for our Wednesday night trivia team at Cadillac Jack’s. I began attending these weekly get-togethers back in the beginning of January at the urging of my friend Jason Heaton. Jason was actually one of Christi’s ex-boyfriends in the mid-1990’s and we got along swimmingly.
The trivia contest consists of five rounds of eleven verbal questions (called out by Jason’s brother Mitch…and we do NOT cheat) - and the playing of a song and TV show theme, which we are challenged to name. Generally, our team does quite well, mostly always placing in the top three slots and winning gift certificates toward our food, which we are always shy to use for ourselves. Once we even were sent to a bigger contest, the tournament of champions, where we miraculously place third.
Mostly, I just enjoy hanging out with the gathering of people who regularly show up. Jason’s parents Kathy and Jim are almost always there. Jamie, Anaka, Leah, Jason, Jessica, Chris, and Ashley are some of my favorites, but there are always other familiar faces that come now and again and join our team.
Below are some shots of two particular nights that I brought along my camera. The one at the top and the first three are from February 7, 2007 and the next six are from April 11.

Leah and Jamie

Jessica and Ashley

Kathy and Jim: They’re more fun than they look here

It’s Leah’s birthday and she’s soon marrying Jason, the guy on the right. She has reason to smile (and pretty much never stop)

Jessica and Chris: would you believe this young pair is married?

Anaka and Jamie share a grilled cheese

Me and the lovely Ashley: ain’t she neat?

Jessica, Jamie, Anaka, Leah, and Jason trying to eat them

Jason will never get on “Jeopardy” this way
I hope you’ve enjoyed these photos. If you are in the greater Metropolitan Dayton area, by all means, come and join us some night…
Ummm, I faintly remember actually taking a good picture on this particular evening. Thanks for not putting that one up turdhead.
Although, it does look like I’m overdue for the dentist

Actually, I was just admiring the straightness of your teeth.
But here’s your ‘good’ photo, my friend.
