The date: Saturday, June 10, 2000. The place: Dad’s home in Brookville. The event: Denise’s graduation party - celebrated in conjunction with my cousin Chris’ graduation, which I’m sure he’d be quick as lightining to point out. The evening was hot, buggy, and full of alcohol. What else is there to remember? Denise had received her Marketing bachelor’s degree and Chris had gotten his degree in History. We all had a great time.

There’s only one other possible combination: Mom, Denise, Dad

Denise with Grandpa and Grandma Murphy

We gathered for one of our famous ‘cousins’ pictures, which may be the most recent one we have taken to date. I remember that when we gathered for it, a horrific odor came out of nowhere and hit my nostrils, to which I remarked “which cousin stinks?”

Joe, Karen, Susan, Charles, Debby, Bryan, Denise, Chris, Lisa, Brad, Ben, Dan, Cathy - cousins ’til the end
Despite her hangover from an intense evening of partying, Denise headed off the next morning to be a counselor at church camp for the first time. It was here at Woodland Altars that events would unfold that would change her life forever…
2000 will continue…
Quick as lightning like a fox!
