Naturally, Christi and I were not looking our best for these Polaroid snapshots taken with Ashleigh on March 22, 1990 at 5:30 pm. I believe I had returned to school that day proudly wearing my “Our New Baby” button and then anxiously returned to the hospital afterward.
The photos below are cute, though - looking more awake and alert with the nurse before the birth, then crashing afterward.
Christi stayed in the hospital on Wednesday and Thursday and then went home on Friday. Naturally, we had lots of visitors including Jennifer and Lisa Crum, Lori Tobias, Jennifer Bolton, lots of my family (Mom, Denise, Dad, Darlene, Bev, Karen, Chris, Susan, Grandma & Grandpa Murphy, Becky, Ben, Megan, and Debby), Christi’s family (Joy, Bob, Keith, and Eric) and our Beavercreek church pastor Steve Jones. Of course, Christi got lots of gifts and candy…which she didn’t mind a bit.
